Sun Rise shared the status of Taiwan's offshore floating solar plan at the APEC energy technology group meeting held in the Philippines.

Sun Rise was invited to give a speech at APEC Philippines

From October 16 to 17, Sun Rise participated in The 61st Meeting of APEC Expert Group on Energy Efficiency & Conservation (EGEEC) and 59th Meeting of APEC Expert Group on New and Renewable Energy Technology (EGNRET), and shared the offshore solar floating pilot project at the "APEC Workshop on Promotion of Multifunctional Ocean Space Usage for Renewable Energies Combination". This workshop aims to explore the integration of floating photovoltaic technology in offshore wind power to promote the diversified use of ocean space. Experts from related fields exchanged views on regulations related to the diverse use of ocean space to find more opportunities for the APEC region to obtain affordable, sustainable and stable clean energy.

In the speech, Sun Rise talked about the causes, risks and current development status of the global focus from inland waters to the sea, and shared the schedule, development level, and characteristics of the selected floaters for the pilot project at the open sea near Pingtung. With combination to the wind turbines, a vision of offshore wind and solar hybrid plan has been constructed.

In view of the fact that offshore floaters are in the early stage of development around the world, with only five projects in the world taking shape, Sun Rise's technology maturity has a chance to catch up with the progress of the EU experimental plan, and officials and scholars from Asia-Pacific countries have expressed high interest in this project and are looking forward to more collaborations and opportunities in the years to come.
