Sun Rise was once again invited by APEC to share how to promote the integration of renewable energy in agriculture and fisheries at a seminar organized by Vietnam APEC Group.
Sun Rise was invited to participate at "APEC Workshop on Promoting Sustainable Energy for Small Farmers towards Climate Friendly Agri Value Chains" in Hanoi, Vietnam. This conference focused on promoting the use of renewable energy to achieve climate-friendly agricultural value chains.
At the seminar, representatives from various countries proposed local solutions on how to combine agriculture, forestry, fishery and renewable energy, and shared their respective policies and regulations in this regard. Through exchanges and communication, cooperation in the APEC region are thus enhanced.
Sun Rise's speech was particularly impressive. This topic was about "The importance of collecting better data to guide sustainable energy investment in food systems and strengthening innovation". Sun Rise shared the evolution and controversies of Taiwan's fishery and oyster electricity symbiosis, as well as the pros and cons of the policy's impact on the market. Unlike government officials and scholars, we focused more on market observations and practical experience, bringing valuable insights to participants and policy-making officials from Asia-Pacific countries.
We hope to contribute to the growth of sustainable energy and agricultural value chains in the Asia-Pacific region through this participation, and to work with the international community to promote climate-friendly agricultural development.
