Sun Rise Was Invited to Give a Speech at Business Today

Sun Rise presented its self-developed and designed offshore solar floating system at Business Today, and shared its vision for the future offshore parks with wind and solar power integration.

Sun Rise was invited to give a speech at Business Today

In early August, Mr. Tung, president of Sun Rise, was invited by Business Today to participate in the New Energy Transformation Forum and discuss with industry professionals how to further go net-zero. Thanks to the government's strong promotion in recent years, Taiwan has paid more and more attention to energy transformation. Considering the dramatic climatic changes, the world needs more alternatives in terms of power generation, thus the energy transformation has become inevitable.

Taiwan is a densely populated area, so land is a limited resource. This is one of the main reasons why Sun Rise is committed to developing offshore floating solar energy. The technology of OFPV is not yet fully mature however. There are currently only a few pilot projects around the world, so in the process there are still many regulatory and technical challenges to be faced. In spite of these, Sun Rise has used its experience in the past to build an offshore pilot project off the coast of Pingtung, which is now in full swing, hoping to prove Sun Rise as a leading role in the industry.

Sun Rise was invited to give a speech at Business Today

This speech covered Sun Rise's nearly 15 years of research and development and we have obtained patents for solar floaters in many countries. The zero-damage record under typhoon confirms that the structure of Sun Rise floater is stable enough to withstand strong winds and waves. At the end of the speech, Mr. Tung also shared his plan for the future offshore park. The concept is to build a large-scale offshore project site and successfully achieve the integrity of wind power and photovoltaic power through OFPV and offshore wind turbines. In addition to overcoming land constraints, it can also effectively utilize renewable energy, significantly reduce carbon emissions caused by power generation, and create win-win value.
