Sun Rise displayed a scale-down model of offshore floating solar system at Smart Energy Week
"Energy Taiwan" and "Net-Zero Taiwan" both successfully concluded on Oct 6th. Although it was postponed due to the typhoon, people still flooded in on the opening day. In addition to a solar floater and a land-based solar system, Sun Rise also added a scaled-down offshore solar floater model (about 3.5 meters long x 2 meters wide) at the exhibition booth this year. The model shows to public Sun Rise's technical level for the pilot project located 3.1 kilometers offshore from Pingtung.
In Taiwan, suppliers in the related industries are very willing to develop offshore solar energy. In addition to combining wind power and wave power generation, some suppliers of hydrogen production equipment even want to explore cooperation opportunities with us in energy storage in the future. As for foreign buyers, they mostly come from the Americas, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia, and these countries are still more familiar with land-based solar system. Due to the different structure of Sun Rise floating system, some people seemed concerned and had doubts in the beginning, but after evaluation on both the advantages and challenges for going offshore, they believed that this will definitely become a trend.
Sun Rise has accumulated more than 400MW of solar projects (already built and in progress) in Taiwan and abroad. What buyers care about is nothing more than technical level and performance. Therefore, through those data feedback from the market, Sun Rise's technical level is self-evident.
